Metinleri okurken kafan karışmasın diye önce temel kavramları öğrenelim. Metinde konu, yazarın ele aldığı düşünce veya düşünce konusudur.

Konuyu bulmak aslında çok kolay! "Metinde ne anlatılıyor?" diye sorduğunda bulduğun cevap, işte o metinin konusudur. Konu genellikle birkaç kelimeyle ifade edilir ve cümle biçiminde değildir - mesela "Doğa Sevgisi" veya "Çocuk Eğitimi" gibi.
