¿Sabías que convertir entre moles y gramos es como cambiar de pesos a dólares? Solo necesitas conocer la "tasa de cambio", que en química es el peso molecular.

Ejercicio 1: De gramos a moles Para convertir 20 gramos de sodio (Na) a moles, usas la fórmula: gramos ÷ peso atómico = moles. Como el sodio pesa 23 g/mol, obtienes: 20g ÷ 23 g/mol = 0.86 moles de Na.

Ejercicio 2: Compuestos más complejos Con 200 gramos de sulfato de cobre (CuSO₄), primero calculas el peso molecular: Cu(64) + S(32) + O₄(64) = 160 g/mol. Después aplicas la misma fórmula: 200g ÷ 160 g/mol = 1.25 moles.

¡Tip clave! Siempre verifica que tengas el peso molecular correcto antes de hacer la división. Es el paso que más errores causa en los exámenes.

Ejercicio 3: De moles a gramos Para convertir 50 moles de dicromato de potasio (K₂Cr₂O₇) a gramos, multiplicas moles × peso molecular. Con un peso de 294 g/mol: 50 moles × 294 g/mol = 14,700 gramos.

La conversión del agua es súper directa: 40 moles de H₂O × 18 g/mol = 720 gramos. ¡Con práctica estos cálculos se vuelven automáticos!
