Configuración Electrónica

La configuración electrónica es una forma organizada de representar la distribución de electrones en un átomo. Los electrones se acomodan en diferentes niveles (n) y subniveles (s, p, d, f) siguiendo un orden específico de llenado.

Cada subnivel tiene una capacidad máxima de electrones: el subnivel s puede contener 2 electrones, el p puede tener 6, el d acepta 10, y el f hasta 14 electrones. Esta distribución sigue un patrón organizado que podemos visualizar en un esquema:
