Conjunções Subordinativas e Coordenativas

As conjunções subordinativas adverbiais conectam orações indicando circunstâncias específicas. Por exemplo, usamos "porque" para mostrar causa ("Faltei à aula porque estava doente") ou "quando" para indicar tempo ("Quando chegar em casa, vou estudar").

As conjunções mais úteis para expressar causa são "porque", "como" e "já que". Para comparações, use "como" ou "mais/menos do que". Quando quiser mostrar uma condição, "se" e "caso" são suas melhores escolhas. Para tempo, "quando", "antes que" e "depois que" funcionam bem.

Já as conjunções coordenativas conectam elementos de mesmo valor gramatical. As aditivas (e, nem) somam ideias, as adversativas (mas, porém) mostram contraste, as alternativas (ou) apresentam opções, as conclusivas (logo, portanto) indicam conclusão, e as explicativas (pois, porque) justificam algo dito antes.

Dica: Para se lembrar das conjunções coordenativas, use a palavra CAACE: Conclusivas, Aditivas, Adversativas, Conclusivas e Explicativas.
