Los términos semejantes son aquellos que tienen exactamente las mismas variables con los mismos exponentes. Por ejemplo, en la expresión 8aab+5b3a+7bb+1-8a - ab + 5b - 3a + 7b - b + 1, podemos agrupar los términos que contienen la misma variable: 8a-8a y 3a-3a van juntos, mientras que $5b,, 7by y -b$ forman otro grupo.

El proceso es bastante directo: primero reorganizas los términos semejantes juntos, luego sumas o restas solo los coeficientes (los números). En nuestro ejemplo: 8a3a=11a-8a - 3a = -11a y $5b + 7b - b = 11b,daˊndonoselresultadofinal, dándonos el resultado final -11a + 11b + 1$.

💡 Tip clave: Solo puedes combinar términos que tengan exactamente las mismas letras con los mismos exponentes. No puedes sumar abab con aa porque son diferentes.

Cuando trabajas con fracciones, como en 12ab+59ab10+ab\frac{1}{2}ab + \frac{59ab}{10} + ab, el proceso es el mismo pero necesitas encontrar un denominador común antes de sumar.
