Ecuaciones de Segundo Grado: Completas e Incompletas

¿Sabías que las ecuaciones de segundo grado aparecen en muchas situaciones cotidianas, como calcular trayectorias de pelotas o áreas de terrenos? La forma general de estas ecuaciones es ax² + bx + c = 0, donde a, b y c son números conocidos.

Existen dos tipos principales: las completas (que tienen todos los términos) y las incompletas (que les falta algún término). Las completas se resuelven con la fórmula cuadrática: x = $-b ± √(b²-4ac)$ /2a.

Para las incompletas, tienes métodos más sencillos. Si falta el término independiente $c = 0$ , puedes factorizar sacando x como factor común. Si falta el término lineal $b = 0$ , simplemente despejas x².

¡Truco importante! Siempre identifica primero si tu ecuación es completa o incompleta, porque esto te ayudará a elegir el método más rápido para resolverla.

Ejemplo completa: x² - 6x + 8 = 0 se resuelve con la fórmula y da como soluciones x₁ = 4 y x₂ = 2.
