Günlük hayatta kapıların açılma derecesinden saatin kollarına kadar her yerde açılar var! Açı, iki ışının birleştiği noktada oluşan açıklığa verilen isim.

Açı ölçüsü derece birimi ile ölçülür ve ° sembolü ile gösterilir. Açıların ölçüsüne göre farklı isimleri vardır ve bunları bilmek çok önemli.

Dar açı: 90°'den küçük açılardır. Örneğin 60° bir dar açıdır. Dik açı: Tam olarak 90° olan açılardır. Geniş açı: 90° ile 180° arasındaki açılardır, mesela 165°. Doğru açı: Tam 180° olan açılardır.
