Teorema de Pitágoras e seus elementos

O Teorema de Pitágoras relaciona os lados de um triângulo retângulo através de uma equação simples mas poderosa. Em palavras simples: o quadrado da hipotenusa é igual à soma dos quadrados dos catetos.

A hipotenusa é o maior lado do triângulo retângulo e fica oposta ao ângulo reto (90°). Já os outros dois lados são os catetos - aquelas partes que formam o famoso ângulo de 90° entre si.

O cateto adjacente é aquele que fica ao lado de um determinado ângulo (sem ser a hipotenusa), enquanto o cateto oposto é o que fica na frente do ângulo que estamos analisando.

Dica prática: Para lembrar facilmente a fórmula, pense que: c² = a² + b², onde c é a hipotenusa e a e b são os catetos. Essa fórmula é sua melhor amiga para resolver exercícios com triângulos retângulos!
