Çözünme-Çökelme ve Asit-Baz Tepkimeleri

Çözünme-çökelme tepkimeleri, farklı çözeltilerin karışmasıyla çözünmeyen bir maddenin oluştuğu reaksiyonlardır. Bu tür tepkimeler günlük hayatta oldukça yaygındır - örneğin suyun sertliği bile bu prensiple açıklanabilir.

Örnek tepkimede PbI₂ + 2KNO₃ → Pb(NO₃)₂ + 2KI reaksiyonunda, net iyon tepkimesi Pb²⁺ + 2I⁻ → PbI₂ şeklinde yazılır. Burada K⁺ ve NO₃⁻ iyonları seyirci iyon olarak kalır çünkü tepkimeye katılmazlar.

Asitler, su ortamında hidronyum (H₃O⁺) iyonları oluşturan bileşiklerdir. Tadları ekşi ve asındırıcı özellik gösterirler. HNO₃, HCl, HBr gibi güçlü asitler tamamen iyonlaşırken, CH₃COOH gibi zayıf asitler kısmen iyonlaşır.

Bazlar ise su ortamında hidroksit (OH⁻) iyonları veren bileşiklerdir. Sabunsu his veren, acı tadlı maddelerdir. NaOH ve Ba(OH)₂ gibi bazlar suda çözündüklerinde OH⁻ iyonları açığa çıkarırlar.
