Come si usa il Present Simple
Il Present Simple è perfetto per descrivere le tue abitudini quotidiane come "I play football every day" o per parlare di cose che non cambiano mai come "The sun rises in the east".
La regola principale è semplice: aggiungi la "s" solo con he, she, it. Per esempio: "I eat pizza" ma "He eats pizza". Con tutti gli altri pronomi (I, you, we, they) il verbo resta uguale alla forma base.
Ci sono alcune regole ortografiche speciali per la "s": se il verbo finisce in -y preceduto da consonante, cambia la -y in -ies (study → studies). Se finisce in -ch, -sh, -x, -o, -zz o -s, aggiungi -es (watch → watches).
💡 Ricorda: La "s" della terza persona è come un'impronta digitale - ti dice subito chi sta facendo l'azione!

Domande, negazioni e risposte brevi
Per fare domande nel Present Simple, usa do con I/you/we/they e does con he/she/it. Esempio: "Do you like music?" oppure "Does she speak English?". Il verbo principale torna sempre alla forma base senza "s"!
Per la forma negativa è uguale: "I don't like spinach" e "He doesn't like spinach". Anche qui il verbo principale perde la "s" perché ce l'ha già l'ausiliare "does".
Le risposte brevi sono comodissime: "Yes, I do" / "No, I don't" oppure "Yes, he does" / "No, he doesn't". Non serve ripetere tutto!
💡 Trucco: Quando usi does o doesn't, il verbo principale "si rilassa" e perde la "s" - l'ausiliare fa tutto il lavoro!
