Afirmativo: I'm cooking dinner, You're playing piano, Tom is reading a book. Negativo: solo agregas "not" después del verbo to be (I'm not cooking, You're not playing). Para preguntas, volteas el orden: Are you studying right now?

Simple Present - Rutinas y Hechos

Afirmativo: Con I/you/we/they usas el verbo normal (I read, we clean). Con he/she/it agregas una "s" al final (he washes, she plays, it runs). Super fácil, ¿verdad?

Negativo: Usas don't con I/you/we/they (I don't read) y doesn't con he/she/it (she doesn't play).

Para preguntas, usas do con I/you/we/they (Do you clean?) y does con he/she/it (Does she play?). Para preguntas informativas, solo agregas what, when, where al inicio.

Verb to BE - El Más Importante de Todos

En presente: I am, you are, he/she/it is, we/you/they are. Las contracciones son súper comunes: I'm, you're, he's, she's, it's, we're, they're. ¡Úsalas siempre en conversación!

En pasado solo tienes dos formas: was paraI/he/she/itpara I/he/she/it y were parayou/we/theypara you/we/they. Ejemplos: "He was young before, but now he's old" o "They were sad, but now they're happy."

Oraciones Afirmativas y Negativas con TO BE

Hacer oraciones con to be es súper directo. Para afirmativo solo dices: I am happy (o I'm happy), He is ugly (o He's ugly). Así de simple.

Para negativo, agregas "not" después del verbo to be. Tienes opciones: I am not happy (o I'm not happy), He is not ugly (He's not ugly o He isn't ugly).

La clave está en dominar las contracciones. Aren't are+notare + not e isn't is+notis + not suenan más naturales que decir todo separado.

💡 Nota importante: Con "I am" en negativo, solo puedes decir "I'm not" - no existe "I amn't".

Preguntas y Más Ejemplos del Simple Present

Para hacer preguntas con to be, simplemente inviertes el orden: Am I happy? Is he ugly? Are you at home? Las respuestas cortas son: Yes, I am / No, I am not.

Isn't he ugly? Con "am" es especial: Am I not happy?

Recordemos el simple present con ejemplos prácticos. Afirmativo: I work in an office, We live in Canada, Tony works in an office (agrega la "s"). Negativo: I don't work, We don't live, He doesn't work (sin "s" en el verbo principal).
