Verbo "be" en singular y contracciones

En singular, usamos "am" (para I), "are" (para you) y "is" parahe/she/itpara he/she/it. Puedes formar oraciones afirmativas como "I am a teacher" o "She is a singer".

Para formar oraciones negativas, simplemente agrega "not" después del verbo: "I am not a student" o "It is not tea".

En lugar de decir "I am", puedes decir "I'm". Otras contracciones comunes son: you're, he's, she's, it's. En negativo: I'm not, you aren't, he isn't.

💡 Recuerda: Usamos "a" con sustantivos que empiezan con sonidos consonantes (a teacher, a student) y "an" con sustantivos que empiezan con sonidos vocálicos (an artist, an engineer).

Sustantivos singulares, plurales y preguntas con "be"

En singular: I, you, he, she, it. En plural: we, you, they. Con estos pronombres y el verbo "be", puedes formar oraciones como "We are teachers" o "They are athletes".

Solo invierte el orden: "Are you a student?" Las respuestas cortas son sencillas: "Yes, I am" o "No, I'm not". Este mismo patrón funciona para todas las personas: "Is he a photographer?" - "Yes, he is".

⚠️ Atención: En las respuestas cortas afirmativas, NO uses contracciones. Es incorrecto decir "Yes, I'm" - siempre di "Yes, I am".

Sustantivos propios y preguntas con "What" y "Where"

Las preguntas con "What" te permiten obtener información: "What's your name?" (¿Cuál es tu nombre?) o "What are their ages?"

Las preguntas con "Where" te ayudan a preguntar por ubicaciones: "Where's the bookstore?" La respuesta puede ser "It is across the street".
