There Was y There Were
There was se usa para singular y there were para plural - así de simple. Es como decir "había" o "hubo" en español, pero tenés que fijarte si hablás de una cosa o varias.
Para las formas negativas, usás "there wasn't" (was not) para singular y "there weren't" (were not) para plural. Ejemplo: "There wasn't any milk" o "There weren't many people".
Las preguntas se forman poniendo was/were al principio: "Was there a party?" o "Were there many students?". Recordá que was va con he, she, it e I, mientras que were va con we, you y they.
Truco: Si podés reemplazar con "una cosa", usá "was". Si podés reemplazar con "varias cosas", usá "were".

Para el past simple afirmativo, los verbos regulares solo necesitan "-ed" al final (walked, played). Los irregulares cambian completamente, como "go → went" o "eat → ate".
