# REPHRASING FOR PAU EXAM

1. She started drinking too much alcohol two years ago.

   - She has

2. I don't have a computer so I can't type

Por ejemplo, "She started drinking..." se convierte en "She has been drinking for two years".

Cuando veas "I don't have... so I can't...", piensa automáticamente en "If I had... I could...".

2. I don't have a computer so I can't type

Estructuras Avanzadas - Parte 2

"I regretted having hit..." se convierte en "I wish I hadn't hit...".

"I'm not as good as you" se transforma en "You are better than me".

Las preguntas directas como "Are you coming?" se convierten en "She asked him if he was coming". No olvides cambiar los tiempos verbales y los pronombres.

💡 Truco útil: En las transformaciones con "since" y "for", recuerda que "since" va con un momento específico y "for" con un período de tiempo.

2. I don't have a computer so I can't type

Voz Pasiva y Estructuras Complejas - Parte 3

"The fireman rescued the child" se convierte en "The child was rescued by the fireman".

"That man's brother is my teacher" se transforma en "That is the man whose brother is my teacher".

"She gave up going" se puede expresar como "She stopped going".

2. I don't have a computer so I can't type

Modales y Obligaciones - Parte 4

Los verbos modales expresan posibilidad, obligación o capacidad. "It is possible that she'll come" se transforma en "She may/might come".

"Someone is mending my windows" se convierte en "I'm having my windows mended".

"You should do it" puede expresarse como "If I were you, I would do it" o "I advise you to do it". Todas transmiten la misma idea de recomendación.

💡 Recuerda: Los modales "must not" (prohibición) y "don't have to" (falta de obligación) tienen significados completamente diferentes. ¡No los confundas!

2. I don't have a computer so I can't type

Expresiones Temporales y Condicionales - Parte 5

Las expresiones temporales con "the last time" se transforman usando present perfect. "The last time she wrote... was two years ago" se convierte en "She hasn't written... for two years".

Los condicionales con unless equivalen a "if not". "If you don't review..." se transforma en "Unless you review...".

"Where are my keys?" se convierte en "I wonder where my keys are".

Causa, Consecuencia y Contraste - Parte 6

"Because it was raining" se transforma en "As it was raining" o "Due to the rain".

"Although she was ill" se convierte en "Despite being ill".

"Al swims faster than Peter" se transforma en "Peter doesn't swim as fast as Al".

💡 Error común: No confundas "as" simultaneidad/causasimultaneidad/causa con "like" (comparación). "As it was raining" (porque llovía) vs "It's raining like yesterday" (como ayer).
