El Verbo "To Be" - Tu Herramienta Básica en Inglés
¿Sabías que el verbo "to be" aparece en casi todas las conversaciones en inglés? Es como el martillo en una caja de herramientas: simple pero indispensable.
En presente simple, este verbo tiene tres formas principales: am (solo para "I"), is (para he, she, it) y are (para we, you, they). Por ejemplo: "I am happy", "She is hungry", "They are students".
Para las oraciones negativas, simplemente agregas "not": "I am not sad", "He is not at home", "We are not late". También puedes usar contracciones como isn't, aren't o 'm not para sonar más natural.
Las preguntas se forman invirtiendo el orden: "Are they happy?", "Is she rich?". Las respuestas cortas son súper útiles: "Yes, they are" o "No, she isn't".
Tip clave: Memoriza las contracciones porque los hablantes nativos las usan todo el tiempo en conversaciones casuales.
