Dominando los Tiempos Verbales en Inglés

¿Alguna vez te has preguntado por qué a veces decimos "I go" y otras "I'm going"? La diferencia está en qué tipo de acción estás describiendo.

El present simple es tu mejor amigo para hechos que siempre son ciertos ("The sun rises in the east") y para rutinas diarias ("I study every afternoon"). También lo usas cuando resumes eventos, incluso históricos: "Shakespeare writes amazing plays".

El present continuous describe lo que está pasando ahora mismo ("I'm studying for my exam") o acciones temporales ("I'm living with my aunt this month"). ¡Ojo! Algunos verbos como "know" o "like" normalmente no van en continuo porque son verbos de estado.

Truco clave: Si puedes añadir "right now" a tu frase, probablemente necesitas present continuous.

Los present perfect (simple y continuous) conectan el pasado con el presente de formas distintas. El simple se enfoca en el resultado $"I've finished my homework" - ya está hecho$ , mientras que el continuous se enfoca en la acción en progreso $"I've been doing homework for two hours" - puede que aún no termine$ .
