Present Simple vs Present Continuous: Las Diferencias Clave

El present simple lo usas para hablar de rutinas y cosas que haces habitualmente. Por ejemplo, "I go to school every day" o "She likes pizza". También lo usas con verbos de estado como love, hate, know, want, understand, think, believe y feel.

Aquí viene algo importante: ¡nunca uses verbos de estado en presente continuo! McDonald's se equivocó en su famoso eslogan "I'm lovin' it" - gramaticalmente debería ser "I love it".

El present continuous es para acciones que están pasando ahora mismo. "I'm studying English right now" o "They are watching TV at the moment". Las palabras clave que te ayudan a identificarlo son: now, at the moment, right now, these days, this week.

💡 Truco rápido: Si puedes decir "en este momento" en la frase, probablemente necesitas present continuous.

Present Simple - Estructura:

Positivo: I/You/We/They work | He/She/It works $¡ojo con la -s!$
Negativo: I/You/We/They don't work | He/She/It doesn't work
Pregunta: Do I/you/we/they work? | Does he/she/it work?

Present Continuous - Estructura:

Positivo: I am working | You/We/They are working | He/She/It is working
Negativo: I**'m not** working | You/We/They aren't working | He/She/It isn't working
Pregunta: Am I working? | Are you/we/they working? | Is he/she/it working?
