El Verbo "To Be" - Ejemplos Básicos
¿Sabías que "to be" tiene dos significados principales en español? Puede significar tanto "ser" como "estar", dependiendo de la situación que describas.
Cuando formas oraciones afirmativas, usas: I am , you are , he/she is . Por ejemplo: "I am a student" significa "Yo soy estudiante".
Para hacer oraciones negativas, simplemente agregas "not" después del verbo. "You are not at the park" se convierte en "You aren't at the park" (Tú no estás en el parque). La contracción hace que suene más natural.
Las preguntas se forman invirtiendo el orden: pones el verbo antes del sujeto. "Am I a student?" (¿Soy yo estudiante?) y puedes responder "Yes, I am" o "No, I'm not".
💡 Tip clave: Practica las contracciones (aren't, isn't, I'm) porque así hablan los nativos del inglés en conversaciones reales.
