Be Going To vs Will - Hangisini Ne Zaman Kullanıyoruz?

Gelecek zamanla ilgili en önemli ayrım şu: be going to planlı durumlar için, will ise ani kararlar için kullanılır. Bu ayrımı kavrarsan artık hiç karıştırmayacaksın!

Be going to yapısında am/is/are + going to + fiilin yalın hali kullanıyoruz. "I am going to fly to Bali on Monday" gibi önceden planladığın şeyler için bu yapıyı seç. "She is going to cancel the meeting" cümlesi de planlı bir kararı gösteriyor.

Will yapısı ise o anda verdiğin kararlar için ideal. "I will have a drink. Do you want?" cümlesinde görüldüğü gibi, ani bir teklif yapıyorsun. Will'den sonra da fiilin yalın hali geliyor.

💡 İpucu: Önceden düşündüğün şeyler için "be going to", o anda aklına gelenler için "will" kullan!

Soru ve Olumsuz Cümleler + Might Yapısı

Soru cümlelerinde be going to için am/is/are'i başa alıyoruz: "Are you going to come with us?" Cevaplarken "Yes, you are going to" veya kısaca "No, you aren't" diyebilirsin.

Will ile olumsuz cümleler kurarken "will not" ya da kısaltması "won't" kullanıyoruz. "She won't call you back" gibi. Soru cümleleri için will'i başa al: "Will she drink coffee?"

Might yapısı da gelecek zamanla ilgili ama "belki" anlamı katıyor. "I might go to the party" derken kesin olmadığını, belki gidebileceğini söylüyorsun. Bu yapı belirsizlik ifade etmek için çok kullanışlı!
