İngilizce Zaman ve Tarih

İngilizce'de saati öğrenmek için "What time is it?" sorusunu kullanırız. Saati söylerken "o'clock", "past", "to" ve "half" gibi ifadeleri kullanırız. Örneğin, saat 5 için "It's five o'clock", 2:30 için "It's half past two", 10:15 için "It's (a) quarter past ten" ve 11:50 için "It's ten to twelve" deriz.

Zaman dilimlerini belirtirken AM ve PM kullanılır. AM gece yarısından öğlene kadar olan zamanı, PM ise öğleden gece yarısına kadar olan zamanı gösterir. Günün bölümlerini de morning (sabah), noon (öğle), afternoon (öğleden sonra), evening (akşam), night (gece) ve midnight (gece yarısı) olarak ifade ederiz.

Haftanın günleri iki gruba ayrılır: Weekdays (hafta içi) ve Weekend (hafta sonu). Hafta içi günler: Monday (pazartesi), Tuesday (salı), Wednesday (çarşamba), Thursday (perşembe) ve Friday (cuma). Hafta sonu günleri ise Saturday (cumartesi) ve Sunday (pazar).

Pratik Bilgi: Tarihleri öğrenmek için "What is the date?" sorusunu sorarız. 23 Nisan gibi bir tarihi iki şekilde söyleyebiliriz: "23rd April" ya da "April 23rd" olarak. Bu tarihleri söylerken "the" kullanmayı unutma!

Aylar ise January (ocak), February (şubat), March (mart), April (nisan), May (mayıs), June (haziran), July (temmuz), August (ağustos), September (eylül), October (ekim), November (kasım) ve December (aralık) olarak sıralanır. Sıra sayılarını da tarihleri söylerken kullanırız: 1st (first), 2nd (second), 3rd (third), 4th (fourth) gibi.
