  • Afirmativa: Sujeto + Verbo en pasado + Complemento I visited my grandmother
  • Negativa: Sujeto + Did not + Verbo en infinitivo + Complemento She did not finish her homework
  • Interrogativa: Did + Sujeto + Verbo en infinitivo + Complemento? Did you call your friend?

Para el Past Continuous:

  • Afirmativa: Sujeto + Was/Were + Verbo con -ing + Complemento They were watching a movie
  • Negativa: Sujeto + Was/Were + Not + Verbo con -ing + Complemento He was not studying
  • Interrogativa: Was/Were + Sujeto + Verbo con -ing + Complemento? Were you sleeping?

When y While con tiempos pasados

  • When I took the photo, the kids were playing
  • The kids were playing when I took the photo

  • While I was having dinner, my father arrived
  • My father arrived while I was having dinner
