El movimiento circular uniforme (MCU) es cuando algo gira con velocidad constante, como las manecillas de un reloj. Aquí no hay aceleración angular, solo un movimiento constante y predecible.

Por otro lado, el movimiento circular uniformemente acelerado (MCUA) es cuando la velocidad de giro cambia constantemente. Piensa en cuando arrancas una bicicleta: las ruedas empiezan despacio y van acelerando hasta alcanzar la velocidad deseada.

Conceptos clave que debes dominar:

  • Periodo (T): el tiempo que tarda en dar una vuelta completa
  • Frecuencia (f): cuántas vueltas da por segundo
  • Velocidad angular (ω): qué tan rápido gira en radianes por segundo
  • Radio (r): la distancia desde el centro hasta el punto que se mueve

💡 Truco importante: Para convertir revoluciones por minuto (rpm) a rad/s, multiplica por 2π y divide entre 60.

Fórmulas esenciales para MCU:

  • Velocidad lineal: v = ω·r
  • Velocidad angular: ω = 2π/T = 2πf
  • Posición: x = θ·r

Fórmulas para MCUA:

En el MCUA aparecen dos tipos de aceleración: la tangencial at=αraₜ = α·r que cambia la velocidad, y la normal o centrípeta an=ω2raₙ = ω²·r que mantiene el movimiento circular. La aceleración total es: aₜ = √an2+at2aₙ² + aₜ².
