¿Sabés ese punto exacto donde podés equilibrar un objeto en tu dedo? Eso es básicamente el centro de masa - un punto imaginario donde se concentra toda la masa del objeto.

Para calcular la posición del centro de masa, usás estas fórmulas súper útiles:

  • Xcm = X1m1+X2m2+...X₁m₁ + X₂m₂ + ... / m1+m2+...m₁ + m₂ + ...
  • Ycm = Y1m1+Y2m2+...Y₁m₁ + Y₂m₂ + ... / m1+m2+...m₁ + m₂ + ...

El vector centro de masa combina ambas coordenadas: Rcm = Xcm î + Ycm ĵ. Esto te da la posición exacta en el plano.

💡 Dato clave: Multiplicás cada coordenada por su masa correspondiente, sumás todo y dividís por la masa total. ¡Es como sacar un promedio ponderado!

En los ejercicios del ejemplo, podés ver cómo aplicar estas fórmulas paso a paso. Para objetos de 2.5kg ubicados en diferentes posiciones, el centro de masa quedó en (5cm, 0.5cm). Para el sistema con masas de 1kg, 2kg y 3kg, el resultado fue (5cm, 3.75cm).
