Teleskop Türleri ve Önemi

Teleskoplar icat edilmeden önce diğer gezegenler ve gök cisimleri hakkında çok az şey biliyorduk. Bugün farklı türde teleskoplarla uzayın sırlarını çözebiliyoruz.

Optik teleskoplar görünür ışığı kullanarak çalışır ve iki ana türü vardır. Mercekli teleskoplar ilk icat edilen türdür ve Galileo Galilei'nin kullandığı teleskop bu tipteydi. Aynalı teleskoplar ise büyük aynalarla ışınları toplayarak daha net görüntüler elde eder - Newton'un kullandığı teleskop bu türdendi.

Radyo teleskopları uzaydan gelen radyo dalgalarını yakalayarak bilgisayarda görüntü oluşturur. Bunun yanında X-ışını, kızılötesi, ve gama ışını teleskopları gibi özel türler de farklı ışın türlerini algılar.

Önemli Not: En ünlü Hubble Uzay Teleskopu 1990'da uzaya fırlatılmış ve Dünya yörüngesinde dönerek gece gündüz kesintisiz çalışmaktadır.
