Mayoz Bölünme Nedir ve Özellikleri

Mayoz bölünme, eşeyli üreyen canlılarda gamet (üreme hücresi) oluşumunu sağlayan özel bir bölünme şeklidir. En temel amacı kromozom sayısının yarıya inmesidir.

Bu bölünmede diploit (2n) hücrelerden, haploit (n) hücreler oluşur. Erkek üreme hücresine sperm, dişi üreme hücresine ise yumurta denir. Mayoz sayesinde döllenme gerçekleştiğinde kromozom sayısı normal seviyeye gelerek nesilden nesile sabit kalır.

Mayoz bölünme, birbirini takip eden iki aşamadan oluşur: Mayoz I ve Mayoz II. Mayoz I'de homolog kromozomlar ayrılır ve kromozom sayısı yarıya inerken, Mayoz II'de kromatitler ayrılır ama kromozom sayısı değişmez.

💡 Mayoz bölünme başlamadan önce interfaz evresinde DNA replikasyonu gerçekleşir ve her kromozom iki kromatitli hale gelir. Bu senin DNA'nın kopyalanması gibi düşünebilirsin!

Mayoz bölünmede gerçekleşen krossing over sayesinde homolog kromozomlar arasında genetik madde değişimi olur. Bu, genetik çeşitliliğin artmasını sağlayarak her birimizin neden birbirinden farklı olduğunu açıklar.
