El Método de 4 Pasos para Derivadas

El método de 4 pasos es como una receta infalible para calcular derivadas. Te permite ver exactamente cómo funciona el concepto de derivada paso a paso, sin trucos de magia.

Vamos a aplicarlo con la función y = x - 5 para que veas qué fácil es. Paso 1: Incrementar la función - aquí agregamos una pequeña cantidad h a nuestra x original, entonces y + Δy = x+hx + h - 5.

Paso 2: Calcular el cambio - restamos la función original de la nueva: Δy = (x+h)5(x + h) - 5 - x5x - 5. Cuando simplificas, te queda súper sencillo: Δy = h.

💡 Tip clave: El método de 4 pasos funciona con cualquier función, no solo con las lineales como esta.

Completando los Últimos Pasos

Paso 3: Dividir por el incremento - tomas el cambio que calculaste y lo divides entre h: Δy/h = h/h = 1. ¡Mira qué limpio queda!

Paso 4: Tomar el límite - aquí viene la magia de las derivadas. Cuando h se acerca a cero, obtienes: lim(h→0) Δy/h = 1.

¡Boom! La derivada de y = x - 5 es 1. Esto significa que la función cambia a una velocidad constante de 1 unidad por cada unidad de x.

Los cuatro pasos siempre son los mismos: incrementar, calcular el cambio, dividir por el incremento y tomar el límite. Una vez que domines esta técnica, las derivadas más complicadas te van a parecer pan comido.

📚 Para el examen: Practica este método con funciones como x², x³ o 2x + 3 para que se te quede grabado.
