¿Alguna vez has tirado una piedra al agua y visto esos círculos que se expanden? Eso es exactamente lo que estudia el movimiento ondulatorio. Las ondas transportan energía sin transportar materia, como cuando gritás y tu voz llega al otro lado del salón.

La ecuación de onda armónica y(x,t) = A senωt±kx+φ0ωt ± kx + φ₀ describe perfectamente cómo se mueve una onda. Acá la amplitud (A) te dice qué tan "grande" es la onda, mientras que la frecuencia angular (ω) determina qué tan rápido oscila. El signo menos (-) significa que la onda va hacia la derecha, y el más (+) hacia la izquierda.

La velocidad de propagación Vp = λ/T te muestra qué tan rápido viaja la onda. Es súper útil porque relaciona la longitud de onda (λ) con el período (T). Pensá en las olas del mar: si son más largas, tardan más en pasar por un punto fijo.

¡Dato curioso! El sonido viaja a 340 m/s en el aire, pero la luz viaja a 300,000,000 m/s. ¡Por eso ves el rayo antes de escuchar el trueno!
