Las Leyes de Newton

La Primera Ley de Newton o Principio de Inercia establece que todo cuerpo permanece en reposo o en movimiento rectilíneo uniforme a menos que una fuerza actúe sobre él. Esto significa que los objetos mantienen su estado actual a menos que algo los obligue a cambiar. La inercia es simplemente la tendencia natural de los cuerpos a resistirse a cambios en su movimiento.

La Segunda Ley de Newton o Principio de Masa relaciona directamente la fuerza aplicada con la aceleración producida. Esta ley se expresa mediante la ecuación F = m·a, donde la fuerza es igual a la masa multiplicada por la aceleración. Si aumenta la masa de un objeto, se necesitará más fuerza para producir la misma aceleración.

💡 ¡Dato curioso! La unidad de fuerza en el Sistema Internacional es el Newton (N). Un Newton equivale a la fuerza necesaria para dar a un objeto de 1 kg una aceleración de 1 m/s². ¡Esto es aproximadamente el peso de una manzana pequeña en la Tierra!

La Segunda Ley también nos muestra que la masa determina cuánto se resistirá un objeto a cambiar su velocidad. Un objeto con mayor masa requerirá mayor fuerza para acelerar que uno con menor masa, algo que experimentamos cada día cuando empujamos objetos ligeros y pesados.
