The Periodic Table of Elements

Ever wondered how scientists keep track of all the building blocks of matter? The Periodic Table organizes all chemical elements in a logical way that shows relationships between them. Elements are arranged by increasing atomic number (number of protons), with similar properties falling in vertical columns.

The table is divided into several major groups. Metals likeGoldAu,IronFe,andAluminumAllike Gold-Au, Iron-Fe, and Aluminum-Al occupy the left and middle sections, while non-metals suchasHydrogenH,CarbonC,andOxygenOsuch as Hydrogen-H, Carbon-C, and Oxygen-O are on the right. Special groups include the alkali metals likeSodiumNaandPotassiumKlike Sodium-Na and Potassium-K, halogens includingChlorineCl,BromineBr,andIodineIincluding Chlorine-Cl, Bromine-Br, and Iodine-I, and noble gases suchasHeliumHe,NeonNe,andArgonArsuch as Helium-He, Neon-Ne, and Argon-Ar.

Each element has a unique chemical symbol - usually one or two letters derived from its name (sometimes from Latin or other origins). For example, Gold is Au (from Latin "aurum"), Lead is Pb (from "plumbum"), and Mercury is Hg (from "hydrargyrum"). These symbols serve as a universal shorthand in chemistry.

Did You Know? The Periodic Table wasn't always complete! Scientists continue to synthesize new elements with higher atomic numbers, with elements 113-118 only officially named in 2016. The search for element 119 continues!

This app is really great. There are so many study notes and help [...]. My problem subject is French, for example, and the app has so many options for help. Thanks to this app, I have improved my French. I would recommend it to anyone.

Wow, I am really amazed. I just tried the app because I've seen it advertised many times and was absolutely stunned. This app is THE HELP you want for school and above all, it offers so many things, such as workouts and fact sheets, which have been VERY helpful to me personally.
