Este sistema se divide en dos partes principales que trabajan como opuestos: el simpático y el parasimpático. El simpático usa principalmente noradrenalina como neurotransmisor y te prepara para la acción. El parasimpático usa acetilcolina y te ayuda a relajarte y descansar.

Los neurotransmisores son como mensajeros químicos que llevan información entre las neuronas. La acetilcolina te pone en modo relajación, mientras que la noradrenalina y la adrenalina te activan cuando necesitás reaccionar rápido.

  • Parasimpático (modo descanso): Disminuye frecuencia cardíaca, contrae pupilas (miosis), estimula digestión y aumenta saliva
